Calling all Volunteers! Williams Lake Winter Carnival Seeks Assistance

Volunteers are being desperately sought for the 2nd Annual Williams Lake Winter Carnival that’s just three weeks away.

President Darrick Boyes says at this point they’re a little low on volunteers.

“We’re probably going to have to pick up 50% more to run smoothly for the event,” he says.

“So we definitely need some help from the community and need some hours.”

Boyes adds that they’ve entered a couple of new events this year.

“We’re going to have a kiddie corral which is going to require anywhere from five to ten volunteers alone,” he says.

“We’ve got a small animal exhibit that we’ve brought into play and we’re going to require another five or so volunteers for that event.”

Boyes says they were under volunteered for the carnival last year and had only 5 to 10 volunteers to help take down the event.

He says they’re ideally looking for a minimum of 75 volunteers for the 2-day event which takes place on Jan 30-31.
