UPDATE: traffic now moving following multi-vehicle accident in Quesnel

Quesnel RCMP confirm that traffic is now moving and that the three vehicles involved in the multi-vehicle accident just before 5 this afternoon south of the Quesnel River Bridge have been removed.

A multi-vehicle accident just south of the Quesnel River Bridge has traffic backed up in all directions this hour.

   That includes up Dragon Lake Hill as well as in Downtown and West Quesnel.
   Sergeant Clay Kronebusch says “Quesnel RCMP were called shortly before 5 o’clock to a three vehicle collision on the south side of the Quesnel River Bridge.  Crews are on scene trying to clear for traffic.   There is alternating traffic off and on, they’re having to close it once and a while for crews to work.”
   Kronebusch says any injuries are believed to be minor at this point.
   He says the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
