UPDATE: Highway 97 North Of Quesnel Near Cinema Has Reopened To Traffic

This morning (January 16) at approximately 6:13 Quesnel RCMP responded to a report of a head on collision involving two pickup trucks on Highway 97 near Cinema.

Sargent Clay  Kronebusch said two men have been transported to hospital with serious injuries and that the highway is closed in both directions.

Drive BC reports estimated time of re-opening is at 4 this afternoon.

“Road conditions are poor due to the recent snow fall,” Kronebusch said, “We want to remind people to use caution and slow down when driving in winter road conditions.”
