The deadline for TRU (true) Grit Entrance Awards is fast approaching.
Marketing Co-Ordinator at T-R-U Williams Lake Campus, Mryissa Krenzler talks about the value of these awards and who is eligible to receive them.
“ This year as part of the first class of the ranching program they have committed to give away six two thousand dollar awards to students enrolled in the program. Students have to be enrolled full time in the program to eligible for the awards.
Krenzler went on to explain how students go about applying for the TRU Grit Entrance Awards.
“In order to apply students are required to submit an application and be registered in the ranching program or be in the process of registering for the program.”
Students also have to complete a personal statement about why the award would will be beneficial to them and why they are choosing to take the ranching program.
The True Grit organization, which is made up of community members in the Cariboo who are committed to post secondary education, raised the money for these Awards through the T-R-U Gala.
Deadline for students to apply for the True Grit Entrance Awards is this friday.
