The Williams Lake Fire Department was on the scene of a burning complaint early this (January 8) morning.
Assistant Fire Chief Corey Boyd said they received the call just after 5 am and responded to the incident near Ok Tire on Mackenzie Avenue.
“I initially responded but then got reports that it was confirmed by another caller so I made it a Group Page. We responded with our Engine 11, just one truck, and it ended up being a metre by metre pallet on fire with a couple of individuals nearby using it for warmth.”
Boyd said they quickly extinguished the fire and that there was no risk to the building.
He noted that the Williams Lake Fire Department was on scene for less than an hour.
