Registration is officially open for this year’s Outhouse Races

The Outhouse Races, hosted by Fishing Highway 24 Association is making it’s return.

They announced that the races would be on February 18th next to the Iron Horse Pub in Lone Butte, with rules and team registration open on their website.

Board Member, Tammi Midgley hopes conditions will be good for this year’s races.

“That is always the unknown for sure, and last year we did have to postpone, because of the big storm.”

“It’s the only year we had to change it so, fingers crossed we’ll have enough snow for racing and not too much to cause any havoc.”

Midgley adds that if they don’t get enough snow, worst case scenario is it’ll be postponed, but says they hope it doesn’t come to that.

This year, she hopes to see more teams register for the races, as last year they had a good turnout of 12 teams, with anyone able to participate.

There are new additions for people to enjoy at the event including tug-o-war, with registration at the location, and other games for kids to enjoy.

Team registration can be found on their website for $10, or can be done on the event day for $15.
