Police seek tips in hit and run in November

RCMP in Williams Lake are seeking the public’s help in a hit and run between a pedestrian and a garbage truck.

Police say the incident occurred on Nov. 18, 2015 in the 1100 block of Mackenzie Avenue North at about 1:15 pm.

The 70-year-old pedestrian sustained significant injuries to his leg after being struck by the reversing truck.

S/Sgt. Del Byron says the truck according to the victim who was unable to obtain a license plate number or a business logo, is described as white in color with deck wood on the back.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Williams Lake RCMP.
