RCMP in 100 Mile House are investigating a suspicious death.
Cpl. Dave Tyreman with the North District RCMP says police received a call to check on the welfare of an employee who did not show up for work and was out of character on Jan. 4 at around 11:30 am.
Officers attended a residence in the 6000 block of Norman Road and located a 37-year-old 100-Mile House resident deceased at the scene.
Tyreman says at this time they cannot say if the death is a homicide but the North District Crime Unit along with forensic experts are investigating and processing the scene.
He says anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity within the area, or have any information that may assist police to contact the 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456.
