Operation Red Nose Ends 2015 Season

It was a good night for the final season of Operation of Red Nose in Williams Lake.

Community Safety Coordinator, Dave Dickson says they likely raised over ten thousand dollars for the Gymnastics Club, Blue Fins, the Youth Fiddlers Group, and the Williams Lake Skate Club.

“The expenses are kept down to a minimal because of the kindness of our automotive dealers in town,” he says.

“They supply vehicles each evening and fuel, and Cariboo GM was the host this year where we ran our Operation Red Nose headquarters out of.”

Dickson says local businesses including Panago, Red Tomato Pies, and Taylor Made Sweets made sure the 34 volunteers were well fuelled to give 60 rides for 131 people on New Year’s Eve.

He says they’ll be planning ahead for the next season of Operation Red Nose on Monday.
