Members of Quesnel City Council will be getting a raise on January 1st.
Council Remuneration will be going up by 3.3 percent.
That will bump the Mayor’s pay up by more than two thousand dollars to $64,068.55.
Councillors will not make $21,685.73, which is an increase of about 692 dollars annually.
The 3.3 percent increase follows a 4 percent hike in 2023, 3.5 percent in 2022, just 0.4 percent in 2021 and 2.4 percent in 20-20 when the current policy came in.
That policy bases the proposed increase on the Consumer Price Index in September of each year.
