Christmas To Come Early This Year In Williams Lake

For the 26th year, the Annual Yuletide Dinner will be put on by the Child Development Centre and the St Vicent De Paul Society in Williams Lake.

Vanessa Riplinger, Executive Director of the CDC, said anyone lean on company or might not have the funds for a Christmas Dinner are invited to stop by the Sacred Heart Catholic School Gymnasium tomorrow (December 6) between 4 and 7.

“We served 300 meals last year and this is a dinner that the community supports. We’re really looking forward to it this year. We’re thinking that this year is going to be busier probably than other years.”

Riplinger said the Yuletide Dinner is a full-blown meal with turkey, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and dessert.

She added the Men’s Choir will be there along with a visit from Santa to hand out homemade stockings created by Williams Lake residents.

We don’t want people to celebrate the holiday alone so we’re hoping they show up and do this with us,” Riplinger said.
