No More Big Bad Government ?

Chief Joe Alphonse, Tribal Chair of the Tsilhqot’in National Government, goes into 2016 with renewed optimism.
Alphonse says with their title case win and a new government, there is a lot to look forward to.
He says a new government has given hope to first nations right across Canada.
Alphonse says they haven’t heard from the Federal Government since their landmark court win so with Trudeau now in he says he is looking forward to some long overdue discussions.
Alphonse says he is encouraged by the Trudeau Government so far and not just on First Nations issues.
He says he was impressed with the Prime Minister meeting the Syrian refugees at the airport and with bringing the delegation over for the environmental conference in Europe.
Alphonse says have always preferred negotiation over confrontation and without what he calls “a big bad government” to face, referring to the Conservatives, there is no reason to be confrontational.
