Charges have now been approved in connection with a drug bust in Quesnel last year

A Quesnel man has now been charged in connection with a drug bust in November of last year.

35-year old Jade Bennett is facing one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He’s due back in court on January 9th for arraignment,

Bennett was arrested along with a woman on November 24th, 2022.

Quesnel RCMP say a vehicle was stopped by police in the 200 block of Anderson Drive, and that a search of the vehicle 36 grams of methamphetamine and 26 grams of heroin were located.

RCMP say they also seized a 9 millimeter handgun, ammunition, hard body armor, and over $19,000 in cash.
