Wranglers Can’t Overcome Start, Fall to Heat 3-2

A sluggish start cost the 100 Mile House Wranglers as they fell to the Chase Heat 3-2 in the first of a two game series.

The club was down by two goals in the first period when an inopportune roughing penalty gave the third ranked Heat powerplay a late chance, Alex Martin had the call:

BCGEU strike headed to mediation

The B.C. General Employees' Union (BCGEU) and the provincial government have agreed to enter non-binding mediation, expected to begin as soon as possible. Vince Ready and Amanda Rogers are to be the mediators facilitating the process. The BCGEU said in a statement, it's members will still maintain picket lines across the province while mediation proceeds.
