Man Facing Charges in Road Rage Incident

Road rage may cost a Cariboo motorist this holiday season as an arrest was made on a man who wielded a hatchet at another driver at a Highway 97 gas station

RCMP were called to the scene after a report of erratic driving and discovered that the driver in question had confronted his accusers.

“Police subsequently arrested the suspect at another location for assault with a weapon,” Cpl. Brian Lamb said.

“The hatchet was also seized and the suspect was released on the promised to appear in court.”

Police say they although they understand that the holiday season can be stressful, they remind motorists to keep their cool.
