Cariboo RCMP had a fairly quiet Halloween this year

RCMP in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House saw a fairly tame Halloween this year.

100 Mile House had a few calls for service involving firework issues, but overall didn’t have a busy night.

Sargent Brian Lamb says this year’s Halloween was quieter compared to previous.

“Typically I’d expect to see more complaints about fireworks, or often times called in as a shots fired complaint, but it doesn’t seem to be the amount I would’ve seen previous years.”

As for Williams Lake RCMP, Op Support and CO Josh Smith says this year went off without a hitch.

“We had 18 between 3pm and midnight, many of which were member generated files, and after midnight, between midnight and 4:00am, we had four files.”

Smith added that there were no concerns regarding trick or treaters relating to the files for the most part.
