The Santa Claus Parade in 100 Mile House is coming back for another year, with a Hawaiian Christmas theme.
The South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce is looking for non-profits, organizations, and anyone else who wishes to register a float into this year’s parade.
President, Donna Barnett says floats and businesses on the parade route will be up for various awards.
“Off and on there’s been ribbons, and last year we had trophies sort of for the best,” says Barnett.
“but this year we chose to get ribbons and it’ll be great, and wonderful to see people recognized for their hard work and dedication.”
The titles for each ribbon includes best music, best theme, best decorated store, and best lit float.
Barnett says that last year’s parade had between 50-60 floats, and this year, they’re hoping to get around the same amount.
Floats will need to be pre-registered for the parade, which will be on November 10th, with Birch Avenue being closed from 3:15pm to 5:30pm.
Registration forms to enter a float, and more information, can be found on the South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce website here.
