Four Vehicle Accident In Quesnel

There was a chain reaction accident in the North Cariboo this afternoon.

Quesnel RCMP Sargeant Darren Dodge says they were called out to the intersection of Highway 97 and Larch Avenue just before 1-30.

Dodge says a northbound semi struck three vehicles at the intersection.

He says it made contact with the first vehicle that was stopped at the red light which then led to that vehicle hitting the one in front of it and so on.

Dodge says there were no injuries and remarkably, while there was some damage, all of the vehicles were still driveable as well.

He says police do not believe that road conditions were a factor in the accident and the driver of the semi was given a ticket for operating a commercial vehicle too closely to other vehicles.
