Quesnel Women Get Into The Holiday Spirit

The holiday spirit is alive and well in the North Cariboo.

The Dragon Lake women’s institute has made a donation to Dunrovin Park Lodge in Quesnel.

Helen Nome says used to do a gift exchange but decided in 2012 to go a different route.

She says they decided to bring 10 dollars each instead and donate it to Dunrovin because they were told that there some residents didn’t have family and were alone so they thought this was a really good cause

Nome says they are hoping that they will encourage other organizations and individuals in Quesnel to do the same.

They can be made to the recreation department at Dunrovin.

The staff will use the donations to ensure that the residents who are in need or without family will receive a meaningful gift.
