Plan Submitted For New Hospital In Quesnel

Northern Health has put forward a concept plan to the Provincial Government for a new hospital in Quesnel.
Micheal McMillan, the Chief Operating Officer for the Northern Interior, says everything is still in the early stages and he cautions that this project, if they are successful, is still years away.
He says the plan is to build a new facility in a new location, although McMillan says they don’t know where.
He says they’ve looked around at different sites within the city and at this point it was more important to know that there are a number of potential locations than to pick one.
McMillan says they will select a site in the next phase of the project which will be the business case once the concept is approved by government.
As for a cost, McMillan says it will be in excess of 100 million dollars.
