There isn’t a common theme when it comes to home sales in the Cariboo so far this year.
The BC Northern Real Estate Board says sales were mostly down through the first 6 monhs of this year.
There were just 59 sales in Williams Lake through June, compared to 83 through June of 2022, while 100 Mile had 62 sales in the first 6 months this year which was down from 85 last year.
Quesnel saw a slight bump, from 61 in the first 6 months last year, to 63 this year.
What homes sold for in the Cariboo also varied.
The average selling price in the Lake City was $470,571 in the first 6 months of this year, up from around 434 thousand last year.
Quesnel remained about the same with an average selling price of $395,719.
The average selling price of a home in 100 Mile House went down to just over 479 thousand dollars this year, from 484 thousand through June of 2022.
