Williams Lake golfers to participate in the BC Golfathon for ALS

Williams Lake Golf and Tennis Club will be one of 43 golf courses participating in the PGA of BC Golfathon for ALS.

Golf professionals will golf from sunrise to sunset to raise awareness and funds for the ALS Society of BC.

Rob Yaworski, General Manager, already has an amount of rounds he wants to play this year.

“Last year we did 216 holes, so we started at 5:30 in the morning and I think we ended at about 8:00 at night, so that’s what I’m hoping.” says Yaworski.

He won’t be the only golfer at the tee, as Brad Fodchuk who golfed along side him last year, will join for another year.

Yaworski added that they raised close to $1000 last year, but says there’s no goal on how much they want to raise.

They’re focus is to just raise money for the ALS Society of BC, and help in any way they can.

Those looking to donate are able to do so online or at the Golf and Tennis Club, and will begin on Monday, June 26th.
