Barkerville Historic Town and Park will be holding its Victorian Christmas event starting on Saturday.
It runs from 10 am to 4 pm until Monday. Marketing Products and Activities Officer, Carleigh Drew says it has a different feel to it during the winter months.
“Our town is a little quieter,” she says.
“It does not have quite the same programming like the summer but it’s a beautiful white Christmas up here and when we do hold this event we open our exhibits and displays.”
19th-century style goods, fine jewelry, and sweet treats are some of the many items people will be able to purchase at the event.
Admission can be in the form of either a cash donation or a non-perishable food item.
