RCMP releases information on fatal accident in the South Cariboo

Clinton RCMP and BC Emergency Health services were called out to a collision involving a commercial vehicle and motorcycle.

The accident took place on May 31st at around 11:00am on Highway 97 in Chasm, BC, where the motorcyclist involved died due to injuries.

RCMP said that “no charges are anticipated as the initial investigation points to rider error on the part of the motorcyclist.”

They added that there were no other injuries, and the driver of the commercial vehicle is cooperating with investigators.

Police aren’t providing any further details, as they say it’s still early in the investigation, and information is subject to change.
