Quesnel and District 4-H receives grant to improve Show and Sale

The Quesnel and District 4-H Council announced that they received $8,000 in funding.

The grant was from the Four Rivers Co-op Community Support Fund, which will go towards a new swine penning and other larger livestock penning.

Cody Dillabough, Key Leader, says they already have a target date for completion.

“So work is underway right now, on the new swine penning, with completion hopefully for end of July, early August, in time for our Show and Sale” says Dillabough.

Dillabough added that the new penning will not only ensure safety for the animals, but also their members and the public.

The annual Show and Sale will be on August 11th, and will continue to the 13th at Alex Fraser Park in the Agricultural Events Center.
