Williams Lake Fire Department to open its doors to the public on Saturday

The Williams Lake Fire Department will be hosting various activities at their open house this Saturday.

This year’s open house will be similar to previous years, but will show off new truck and tools they use.

Kayla Topping, Firefighter, says they’re continuing their fan favourite event.

“at roughly about 1:30pm, we’ll be hosting our famous firefighter challenge, here you will see firefighters compete for the best time on the course.” says Topping.

“Last year, it was a tight run between Williams Lake firefighters and some local BC wildfire fighters.”

Topping added that other agencies will be attending, such as 150 and Wildwood Fire Department, BC Ambulance, the Sheriffs, and BC Wildfire.

The open house will start at 10:00am and run until 2:00pm, located at the Fire Hall on 230 Hodgson Road.
