Williams Lake hosting the Mud Puddle Trail Run this weekend

The Cariboo Memorial Complex will be hosting the second annual Mud Puddle Trail Run this Sunday.

The run will be located on the Fox Mountain Trail Network, starting and ending at the Ross Road parking lot.

In a release from the City, there’ll be a five kilometre family run and a 10 kilometre competitive route, with some changes from last year.

The top three participants in the youth, men, and women’s group for the competitive event, will receive medals.

The family-friendly course will run counter-clockwise along Foxfire and Chicken Scratch.

The competitive route will travel along Foxfire, onto Jimmy’s Fox, traverse 3 ‘Lil Pigs, then hit Chicken Scratch and the KX Connector, before returning to the starting area along Foxfire.

Anyone looking to register, can do so here, with check-ins beginning at 9:30, and runs starting at 10:00am sharp.

‘Roos game to still go on despite afternoon fire at West Fraser Centre

Truck fire the cause of grassland fire near 100 Mile House ice rink

A truck caught fire on Wrangler Way in 100 Mile House, that spread onto the nearby grass, creating a wildland fire. 100 Mile House Fire Department was able to contain the blaze quickly, and report no one was injured.
