A new mural is being painted in Williams Lake

Williams Lake will have another mural painted on the north side of Stampede Glass.

Local artists Tiffany Jorgensen and Sarah Sigurdson began the mural just last Wednesday, of a stampede of horses coming out of glass, across the Williams Lake landscape.

While progress continues to be made, the smoke has been making it a bit of a challenge.

“It’s a physical job, so we’re up and down the scaffolding and running around or whatever,” says Sigurdson

“I feel like the smoke is making us winded, and normally we’re like monkeys out here, but definitely we’re feeling it.”

Even with the smoke, Sigurdson and Jorgensen look to complete the mural in roughly two weeks.

The other work they’ve done around town are guaranteed to last ten years, but with the new paint they’re using, they expect this one to last beyond that.
