The 2007 Memorial Cup winning Vancouver Giants, including a Quesnel raised player will be inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame.
Brett Festerling, captained the team to their first ever Memorial Cup win, where they won 3-1 against the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Festerling played seven games for the Quesnel Millionaires in the 2001-02 season, and joined the Tri-City Americans that same year.
He joined the Giants in the back end of the 2004-05 season, playing 32 games for them.
In the regular season of the championship year, Festerling tallied 5 goals and 21 points, with 1 goal and 6 points in the playoffs.
Festerling went on to play 88 NHL games, 83 for the Anaheim Ducks, 5 for the Winnipeg Jets, and will be inducted, along with the Giants, on July 21st.
