On Thursday, May 11th, Williams Lake RCMP said they were called shortly after 3 a.m. where a witness saw an unknown man enter and look through a neighbors vehicle.
When confronted, police said the suspect fled on foot and was last seen wearing a baseball cap, blue and white jacket, blue jeans and carrying a backpack.
A person matching the description was quickly found and was arrested.
Police said the suspect was found to be in possession of property believed to be stolen from an earlier theft and was in violation of his probation order from a matter in another police jurisdiction.
Police said charges have not yet been laid, however the suspect remains in custody pending a court appearance.
The investigation is ongoing.
