Western Hockey League sees three Cariboo players drafted to the same team

Three Williams Lake hockey players were drafted to the Western Hockey League (WHL) after today’s Prospects Draft.

The Seattle Thunderbirds drafted Colton Gerrior (centreman), Jaxson Dikur (goalie), and Lucas Asher (left wing).

Gerrior was picked in the fourth round at the 87th spot, with Dikur in round six at 129, and Asher in the 11th round at 241.

Gerrior finished the regular season last year with 23 goals and 71 points in 28 games for the Northstars Hockey Academy U15.

Dikur ended the season with an 8-6 record with a .902 save% and 3.52 goals against average with the Northstars Hockey Academy U15.

Lastly, Asher put up 20 goals and 60 points in 32 games for the same team.
