Honour Tour made its first stop in the Cariboo

The Honour Tour arrived in Williams Lake earlier today, to spread the word around the Honour House.

Not many know about the Honour House, so to help promote the program, the tour will be making 54 stops in the province, two in the Cariboo, which began on April 3rd.

As for the stop in Williams Lake, plenty showed up to learn of the program and make donations.

“The turnout here today was just phenomenal, we had the sheriffs, we had search and rescue, we had fire, we had police,” says Chuck Puchmayr, Honour House Volunteer.

“just an overwhelming turnout from people in uniform, and members of the public that just wanted to come and make a donation.”

Puchmayr added that the response has been positive with plenty of talks around the cause.

Up to now, he says that about 10 percent of people know about the program, but are just over half way through the tour.

The next stop in the Cariboo will be tomorrow (May 3rd) in Quesnel at Inland Truck and Equipment from 11:30am-1:30pm.
