Quesnel Santa Shuffle Ready To Go

Quesnel’s 2nd annual Santa Shuffle and Elf Walk will take place this Saturday (Dec 5) beginning at 10 o’clock at Lebourdais Park.
It is a fundraiser for the Salvation Army in Quesnel with all the proceeds staying in the community to help those in need throughout the year.
Lieutenant Laura Van Schaick, with the Salvation Army, says it is a fun way to raise money and this year the organizers are bringing more than just the big guy to the event.
She says Rudolph, the Grinch and Ebenezer Scrooge will also be on hand to cheer people on.
There will be hot chocolate, cookies and other goodies at the finish line as well as a medal for those who made it all the way around.
Van Schaick says you can run 5 kilometres or walk just 1.
She says they had 70 participants last year and they hope to top 100 this year.
People can register on-line at santashuffle.ca.
Race packages are available at the Warrior Song Cafe.
