Armed Robbery suspect pleads guilty in Quesnel

A suspect in two armed robberies in Quesnel has pleaded guilty in provincial court.

31-year old Thomas Phillips pleaded guilty to two counts of robbery and one of disguising his face with intent to commit an offence.

He’s due back in court on July 18th for a psychiatric report.

Quesnel RCMP were called to the Husky Gas Station on January 7th.

Police say a man wearing a mask has entered the store and confronted the clerk with a handgun and demanded cash.

After fleeing the area, the suspect discarded a replica handgun and articles of clothing.

On January 13th, a suspect followed a woman into an ATM vestibule and demanded an undisclosed amount of money.

During that incident, the suspect was also wearing a mask and was gesturing that he was armed with a weapon.
