Williams Lake RCMP seize drugs, weapons and cash

On April 25th, The Cariboo-Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit conducted multiple search warrants targeting prolific offenders.

In a release from RCMP, they say the prolific offenders were involved in drug trafficking in Williams Lake.

“During the investigation into suspected drug trafficking, multiple units at the Slumber Lodge were searched simultaneously,” says North District Media Relations Corporal, Madonna Saunderson.

“and during the searches, police located an seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl as well as various weapons and some cash.”

Saunderson added that police also recovered stolen military uniform, which was recently stolen from Canadian Military personnel in Williams Lake.

Multiple arrests were made and the individuals were later released as the investigation is still ongoing.
