Quesnel Cross Country Athlete Overall Champion in Vanderhoof

A Quesnel athlete was the overall girl’s champion at the High-School Cross Country Running Zones in Vanderhoof.
Olivia Baptiste, a grade 10 student at Correlieu Secondary, was first out of 39 competitors on Saturday.
Teammate Kyra Teetsen, in grade 11, was 2nd overall and the Gold medal winner in the Senior Girls division.
Danica Robson, from Lake City Secondary in Williams Lake, ran a great race as well.
She was 3rd overall and 2nd in the Senior Girls.
Avery Drew, a grade 9 student from Quesnel Junior School, was first in Juvenile Girls.
She also qualifies for Provincials along with Mia Kozak and Olivia Moody from Correlieu.
For the boys, the Correlieu team placed 2nd and automatically qualifies for the Provincials November 1st in Victoria.
Individually, Cole Dinsdale was 4th out of 35.
Dane Jacobsen, Ryan Eldon, Jared Fisher, Conrad Teetzen and Dillon Cathcart make up the rest of the Silver medal winning team.
