The Ten Thousand Villages fair trade sale wrapped up this weekend in 100 Mile House.

The sale, which went from Wednesday to Sunday, was an overwhelming success says Volunteer-Coordinator Laura Baerg:

It was just an incredible week with amazing, overwhelming support from this generous community. Over the five day sale, 100 Mile raised over forty thousand dollars for people in developing countries around the world.

Ten Thousand Villages is estimated to pay out roughly ten million dollars each year to developing world artisans in more than thirty-five countries.
