Warming centres are open for those who are stuck outside during the cold snap.

Williams Lake has a few different options, with the Cariboo Complex lobby and washrooms available for use all week. Monday to Friday, it’s open from 6:00am to 9:00pm, with the weekend from 9:00am to 9:00pm.

The Salvation Army will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm, where breakfast and lunch will be served. Breakfast takes place between 9:00am-9:45am and lunch from noon until 12:45pm.

The Cariboo Community Church will be open for drop in from 9:00am and 4:30pm.

Lastly, coats, gloves and toques are available at the BGC, Salvation Army and the Women’s Contact Society.

In Quesnel, there are five beds available at the Seasons House for those who don’t have shelter at night.

On Environment Canada’s website, the Cariboo should start to see the cold snap dissipate by Tuesday, December 6th.
