South Cariboo man found not guilty of murder

A Supreme Court jury has found a South Cariboo man not guilty of first degree murder.

66-year old Paul Decoffe is now a free man.

His trial ran all last week and into the beginning of this week in Williams Lake.

The jury then deliberated for around a day and a half before making a decision.

Decoffe was accused of killing 49-year old Wayne Seterengen in December of 2018.

100 Mile House RCMP say they were called to a residence in the Lone Butte area, and upon arrival discovered the body of a deceased male.

Decoffe was arrested and charged in October of 2020.
