RCMP Remind Public to Lock Vehicles

RCMP in Williams Lake is once again reminding the general public to remove valuables and lock vehicles after one vehicle was tampered with and had items taken while another was reported stolen.

RCMP say the ignition of a vehicle was tampered with and numerous items were stolen after a witness observed someone breaking into a car early Saturday morning at Boston Pizza.

The suspect who was described as a First Nation male, 5’9″ wearing a white ball cap, black hoodie, and black pants was not located.

Meanwhile this morning, an owner reported that his 1997 Dodge pickup had been stolen overnight from a residence on 1st Avenue North.

The vehicle was later located near Quesnel, where RCMP found the vehicle on its roof.

The driver or any passengers of the vehicle were not found.

RCMP continue to investigate.
