The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene for 5 hours battling a structure fire on Lakeview Crescent.
Fire Chief Ron Richert said they got the call yesterday (November 21) afternoon at 1:42.
“And upon arrival, the D-Officer noticed heavy fire and smoke coming from the rear of the residence which quickly spread into the interior of the structure.”
Richert noted that the home had severe fire and smoke damage and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department responded with 4 pieces of apparatus and Richert said both the Kersley and Barlow Creek Fire departments were called in for mutual aid.
