It’s a busy week this week for the inquiry into the federal government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act early this year.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and seven of his cabinet ministers are due to testify, as is the director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.
The act was invoked to quell the protest that saw downtown Ottawa occupied for almost four weeks by protesters in the so-called “Freedom Convoy.”
The inquiry, which is required each time the law is implemented, is to submit its recommendations to the federal government by February 6th.
