Williams Lake Rugby Player is Off to New Zealand

The U18 BC Bears Elite Girls 7s squad was announced yesterday, showcasing 13 players, with one from Williams Lake.

Grace Turner, who played with the Williams Lake Rustlers, will be joining the team when they travel to New Zealand in December.

In a release from BC Rugby, they say player selection was very competitive and took into account key events throughout the BC Rugby season.

This included the 2022 Provincial Regional Championships, BC Summer Games, 2022 Western Canadian Championships and the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

The tournament she will be apart of is the 2022 World School Sevens, which has featured multiple teams from around the world.

The World School Sevens will be held at Auckland’s Pakuranga Rugby Club on December 17-18.
