Williams Lake City Council had discussions on whether rescinding the vaccination mandates was needed.
The mandates are in place for those under the city, such as councilors, employees, and others.
However, Council will wait for when more information comes in, so they’re prepared to make the decision.
“The report is coming. There’s lots of legality issues, there’s lots of mandates by WorkSafe BC, Health BC, Health Canada.” says Mayor Surinderpal Rathor.
“What we directed to staff was to bring the report forward.”
He added there’s more questions than answers as of right now, as there are still stones unturned.
Councillors did give their thoughts about the removing the the mandate, with all open to getting rid of it, but some still showed a bit of hesitancy.
