The Williams Lake Business Excellence Awards is This Weekend

The Business Excellence Awards is back for its 25th year, hosted by the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce.

The award ceremony was last held in 2019, but was put on hold until this year due to covid.

“We’re bringing the community together to celebrate small businesses, and their achievements.” says Jason Ryll, Executive Director with the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce.

“Small businesses have gone through the ringer, they’ve had their knocks in the last couple of years, so we wanted to bring back this event to really celebrate small businesses in our area.”

Ryll added that they want to recognize the hard work, innovation, and adaptation that businesses have faced. Different hurdles he pointed out were supply chain disruptions, inflation, and a global pandemic.

The event will have dinner, entertainment, with the award ceremony to close it off.

Some of the categories for the awards include not for profit, service excellence, and business of the year.

As for when the Business Excellence awards are taking place, It will be at Thompson Rivers University (Williams Lake campus) on November 12th.
