Kit and Kaboodle Raises Nearly $250,000 for the Orange Shirt Society

A Williams Lake business sold orange shirts, in an effort to raise money for the Orange Shirt Society.

This year, Kit and Kaboodle raised a total of $234,852.00 for the charity, which was five time more than last year.

“I just, from my heart wanted to give back a little bit.” says Carl Johnson, Owner of Kit and Kaboodle.

“I’m aware that there’s much land that is title free. Of course $234,000 is a drop in a empty bucket, but we did it.”

Kit and Kaboodle became a premier distributor, where they sold 25,000 orange shirts, giving $10 of each sale to the society.

For around 20 years, Johnson has been making donations to the different bands that would come in.
