Cariboo runners compete at provincials

The Cariboo was represented at the high-school cross country running provincials at Royal Roads University in Victoria on Saturday.

Anika Wallin from Lake City Secondary in Williams Lake was 40th out of 211 competitors in the senior girls race.

Her time over the 5 kilometres was 20 minutes and 57 seconds.

First place was 17.17.

Claire Nicholas from Correlieu in Quesnel was 58th (21-31) and Boroka Peter was 119th. (23-21)

Jessabelle Trelenberg from Lake City Secondary was 68th out of 248 in the junior girls race, and her teammate Kiera Dyer was 168th.
