October Busy Time For Tasks To Central Cariboo Search And Rescue

October was a busy month for members of the Central Cariboo Search and Rescue Team.

According to their Facebook post, they had 6 land search and rescue tasks for missing or overdue persons.

In 4 of them, the assistance of air resources was utilized.

In the other 2, Central Cariboo Search and Rescue utilized the help of the West Chilcotin, South Cariboo, and Quesnel Search and Rescue teams, and all persons from all tasks were found safe.

Also in October 16 motor vehicle incidents were responded to by their Auto Extrication team.

So far this month, Central Search and Rescue has responded to 4 motor vehicle incidents in the Williams Lake area.

Last November they had a record 10 callouts in a 12-hour period to motor vehicle incidents.
