Open House on Pool Project sees turnout from local contractors and trades

An information open house for local and regional trades and contractors for the Sam Ketcham Pool-West Fraser Aquatic Centre took place last night drawing representation from 32 companies within the Cariboo.

Project Manager, John Bowser with Tango Management shares with us what’s next for the exciting project.

“We expect the majority of the drawings to be complete just prior to Christmas then we go into a bit of a test and coordination of the documents and that,” he said.

“We’ll be coming out with a demolition deconstruct probably just before Christmas and then we have a make safe program.”

Bowser says electrical feeds and equipment have to be reconfigured before demolition which is anticipated to start on April 1st can begin.

He says a total of 28 contractors applying various levels of skill-something that is all available within the community, are expected to take part in the project.
