Quesnel Rona Raises over $2,000 for Big Brother Big Sisters

The Quesnel Rona had their Lowe’s Hero’s Campaign from September 1st to October 7th to raise money for a local charity.

After the campaign, the store raised a total amount of $2,290.50 for the charity of their choosing.

The local charity that was chosen was the Big Brother Big Sisters of Quesnel

“Normally it’s just left up to the store. We get a few people together, and we come up with a few names and we decide which one we’re going to raise the funds for.” says Duncan Campbell, Manager for the Quesnel Rona.

While $2,290.50 was raised, Campbell said that he thinks that they fell short in terms of the amount raised compared to previous campaigns.

Last year, they raised just under $3,200, which went to Diabetes Canada.

The previous story on the amount of money raised can be found here.

Campbell says that with the cost of everything getting so high, it is a little harder to raise the funds.
